WASHINGTON, (Reuters) – The fastest way to obtain $6.4 billion for humanitarian and security assistance to Ukraine is by including it in the omnibus spending bill. This was stated Tuesday by Chuck Schumer, U.S. Senate Majority leader.

“We are going to collaborate on a bipartisan and robust aid package for both the military and security requirements. The topic is currently being discussed in great detail. “The best place is to add it in the upcoming Omnibus Bill and that’s exactly what we plan to do,” said the Democratic leader to reporters.

The omnibus bill, he said, “is the fastest and most efficient way to do it.”
