Business daily Handelsblatt reported this Thursday.
Handelsblatt reported that Dietmar Woidke (state premier of Brandenburg) would speak on the details of Friday’s approval decision. However, Handelsblatt did not provide details about the source of the report.
According to the newspaper, it was unable to immediately contact the state agency that approved the application or state chancellery.
Tesla awaits approval to start production at the electric vehicle factory (EVF) and nearby battery plant in Gruenheide.
Numerous public consultations focused primarily on environmental impacts of the site delayed it. Elon Musk (Tesla Chief Executive Officer) expressed irritation at multiple times about the German bureaucracy.
