LONDON (Reuters – G7 Energy Ministers will be meeting Thursday to explore what further the West could do to lessen its dependence upon Russian oil and natural gas. Kwasi Kwarteng from British Business said.

Britain said that it would ban Russian oil and products imports from the year 2022. It also considered banning their use, along with other countries, in an effort to punish Moscow for its invasion of Ukraine.

Kwarteng said that the G7 ministers of energy will meet for an unusual meeting tomorrow, to discuss future steps.
