U.S. to miss deadline for release of 9/11 probe documents, court filing shows -Breaking

WASHINGTON, (Reuters) – The U.S. Justice Department admitted on Thursday it will miss the deadline established by President Joe Biden to review and release documents relating to the FBI investigation into the Sept. 11 attacks.

It filed a statement telling Judge Sarah Netburn that although most required documents would be released by March mid-March, more would follow in April.

It explained that this was due to “continuing co-ordination with many foreign governments, and ongoing interagency reviews.”

Biden gave six months for the Justice Department’s review of documents from the FBI probe in September.
