U.S. will run out of key COVID-19 treatments without more funds, White House says -Breaking

WASHINGTON (Reuters] – If Congress doesn’t provide additional funding, the U.S. government may run out supplies of COVID-19 treatments known as monoclonal antibodies. The White House announced Tuesday that they would have to cut back on orders.

Alarming Americans about the depletion of funds for pandemic responses, the White House stated that there would be no additional funding available to fund COVID-19 vaccine booster shots and variant-specific vaccinations.

Although the White House requested immediate funding of $22.5 billion to combat the pandemic, the money was omitted from the most recent government funding bill that lawmakers passed last week.
