WASHINGTON (Reuters] – On Tuesday, the White House stated that Joe Biden would veto a bill by Congress which would have prevented public health officials to require masks for passengers on planes or in any other mode of transport in an effort to stop COVID-19 outbreaks.

Last Friday, the White House declared that they would continue to enforce the existing mask regulations at all airports and train stations.

The White House stated that “scientific principles, and not politics, should guide the selection of masks required for these situations.”

Tuesday night saw the Senate vote on the bill.
