Furniture Startup Launches the First NFT Collection- Dims, a furniture startup, is now launching NFTs in its furniture line.
- This brand will launch 2,000 NFTs that are based on a real collection.
- Proceeds from this sale will help pay for the construction of the actual furniture.
Dims is a US furniture startup that plans to release a new line of NFTs for furniture based on an existing physical collection. Dims recently released a collection of outdoor furniture made by Christian Heikoop, a Dutch designer; it will now be available as NFTs.
Eugene Kim, Dims’s founder and CEO, said:
Although smart contracts and cryptocurrency have been on our radar for many years, it was only last year that NFTs became the focus of public attention that we really began to grasp how certain aspects of the technology can be used for what they do.
Luxury furniture manufacturer Dims will release a range of 2,000 NFTs. NFTs cannot be bought with crypto, but Dims has teamed up with Venly to allow customers the ability to purchase them in US Dollars.
A permanent coupon is included with the Dims NFT, which entitles you to 15 percent discount on all Dims merchandise. You can either keep or sell the NFT.
Kim claims that the NFT sales will raise Dims to cover the costs of prototyping and engineering the furniture. Kim believes NFTs can also be used to help support emerging design trends in the future.
