U.S. warns Russia of consequences of any possible Russian use of chemical weapons

(Reuters) – U.S. National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan met with Nikolay Patrusev, Secretary of Russia’s Security Council. He warned him about possible Russian decisions to use biological or chemical weapons against Ukraine, according to the White House.

Sullivan said to Patrushev, “If Russia is serious about diplomacy then it should cease attacking Ukrainian cities and villages,” the White House stated in a statement.
