(Reuters) – Russia’s communications regulator Roskomnadzor stated Friday it had asked Alphabet Inc (NASDAQ) Inc to stop spreading the threats it deemed against Russian citizens through its YouTube video-sharing site.

Roskomnadzor stated that the advertisements on the platform were endangering the health and life of Russian citizens, and that their distribution was proof of America’s anti-Russian position.

Google didn’t immediately reply to our request for comment.
