Late last year, Porsche’s sportscar manufacturer executives traveled to America to talk about possible projects together with the iPhone maker. ApplePorsche CEO stated Friday that he was also working with other tech companies.
“We already offer Apple CarPlay. We will continue to expand that,” Oliver Blume, Chief Executive of the company said in a Friday videoconference on annual results.
He claimed that Apple and Porsche had always cooperated closely, and that the two were “on a similar wavelength”. But he added that it was too early to decide on any future projects.
Blume stated that Porsche had been considering entering Formula One but did not make a decision.
Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung in Germany reported January that Volkswagen’s supervisory body would make a decision at the end February on whether Porsche and its luxury brand Audi would be joining F1.
