(Reuters] – Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway has a near record high cash position of $146.7 billion despite its massive buybacks in the past few years.

On Monday, it completed a deal worth $11.6 billion to acquire Alleghany Corp (NYSE:) Corp. This will add to the company’s already extensive insurance portfolio.
