WASHINGTON (Reuters), a U.S. Judge ruled on Tuesday that China’s ZTE Corp (HK) should be permitted to complete its five year probation starting in 2017.

It was on the last day in the company’s probation, for illegally shipping U.S. tech to Iran or North Korea.

ZTE was accused of violating probation in relation to an alleged plot to illegally bring Chinese nationals into the United States for research.

Although the judge stated that he believed the allegations of visa fraud conspiracy were true, he decided not to take further action against ZTE because it had reached maximum probation.
