Playboy Enterprises International, an American global media and lifestyle company, has filed trademark applications for the ‘PLAYBOY’ name and its iconic rabbit logo. NFTs are downloadable media that include digital assets and digital tokens.

By using metaverse ideas, the company hopes to draw younger people.

USPTO Licensed Trademark Attorney Mike Kondoudis tweeted Playboy’s trademark applications.

CNBC spoke with Ben Kohn, Playboy’s CEO. He said that magazine was just one of their products. “It was really that rabbit head that’s worth billions and billions of dollars and not replicable.” Kohn declared that Playboy had 100% awareness, “When you think about what this brand represents, from a marketing perspective, from an awareness perspective, we pretty much have 100% awareness everywhere in the world.”

As a result of the pandemic, Playboy’s physical print editions fell off. The online edition of Playboy magazine was born.

It’s in this same vein that Playboy enters the metaverse, issuing Rabbitars and 11,953 NFTs of its cartoon bunnies.

Many companies have moved into this space since the dawn of the metaverse. Walt Disney, for example. Disney These three figures are important in the realm: Epic Games, Netmarble and (NYSE:). Decentraland, SANDBOX and other metaverses have emerged and dominate the market.

Playboy is an American entertainment magazine featuring men’s lifestyle. Hugh Hefner and his associates founded it in Chicago, Illinois in 1953. The ownership of the PLBY Group, Inc., is what makes it work.
