Foreign holdings of U.S. Treasuries hit a record high in July -data By Reuters

NEW YORK (Reuters) – Foreign holdings of Treasuries rose for the fourth straight month in July, hitting a record high, data from the Treasury Department showed on Thursday.

Refinitiv Datastream reports that $7.54 Trillion was the record amount held by foreign Treasuries holders. The foreign Treasuries portfolio stood at $7.50 billion in June.

At $1.31 trillion, Japan was the net largest holder of Treasuries outside of the United States.
