Lucid Gains as Air Dream Edition Range Gets Longest-range EV Tag from EPA By Investing.com

Investing.com – Lucid stock (NASDAQ:) rose 4.5% Thursday as its Air Dream Edition 19-inch wheel secured a rating of 520 miles from the Environmental Protection Agency, making it the longest-range EV ever rated by the body.

The company says the EV has a minimum of 100+ mile more range than its closest rival. The longest-range Tesla (NASDAQ:), the Model S Long Range Plus, counts as the nearest rival though Lucid didn’t name it.

At least $169,000 is probable to be the price of an Air Dream Edition on 19-inch wheels. According to reports, a cheaper base model will be available next year.  Rating of 481 miles was given to the 21-inch wheel.

Another version of Lucid Air was also awarded their official EPA range ratings. This included both the Dream Edition Performance (both 19-inch) and Grand Touring (both 21-inch). The Dream Edition Performance 21-inch wheel’s 451 miles was the lowest rating amongst them.

The company claims that the overall EPA range rating of all EVs is now in the top six spots for the Lucid Air models.
