WASHINGTON (Reuters) – The White House is willing to set up a call for American rapper Nicki Minaj about the safety and effectiveness of the coronavirus vaccine after she said she wanted to do more research on vaccines before getting one.

A White House official said that they offered to call Nicki Minaj, along with one of their doctors, in order to answer any questions about the effectiveness and safety of the vaccine.

Minaj tweeted that she hadn’t been able do enough research on COVID-19 vaccines in order to be vaccinated in time to attend the Met Gala. This is a celebrity-packed fundraiser for New York City’s Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Minaj said later that she was getting vaccined to allow her to travel.
