(Reuters) – Police and FBI agents went to the family home of a missing Florida woman’s boyfriend on Friday but said they did not interview the 23-year-old man, who has refused to speak with investigators.

The police in North Port on Florida’s West Coast, 70 miles from St. Petersburg, reported that they were called to the yellow house by Brian Laundrie’s relatives.

North Port Police will be speaking to the Laundrie Family upon their request. The North Port Police Department posted on Twitter that they aren’t speaking to Brian at this moment (NYSE:). Laundrie wasn’t home at that time.

Although police have not provided any evidence to support a criminal offense, the disappearance of Gabby Kleino (22-year-old) and Laundrie’s silence regarding her whereabouts has made national headlines.

Laundrie has been identified by police as a “person-of interest” but not as a suspect in this case. Laundrie has not been charged or arrested.

Two FBI agents and several police officers were visible leaving the Laundrie residence on Friday. One of them searched the silver Ford Mustang that was parked there. The officers did not seem to take anything out of the vehicle.

Petito, Laundrie and their car were on a long trip together in June. They drove west from New York. While they were traveling, the couple posted photos and videos to social media.

Petito’s family claimed that they lost touch with Gabby around August while she was in Wyoming at Grand Teton National Park. Laundrie, who was living with her husband in North Port, returned home to find her missing on Sept. 1.

Petito was reported missing by her parents from Suffolk County, New York 10 days later.

His client was not questioned by Laundrie, but his attorney said that any information he gave police about Petito could later be used against him, regardless of whether my client knew anything about Ms. Petito.
