MANILA, (Reuters) – Voyager Innovations in the Philippines has received a central bank license for its digital banking subsidiary.

Maya Bank is the nation’s sixth-digital lender. The company stated in a statement that it will concentrate on consumers who are not banked or have limited access to small business owners. Voyager’s shareholders include PLDT (NYSE:), private equity firm KKR & Co (NYSE:) Inc and China’s Tencent Holdings (OTC:) Ltd.
