BRUSSELS (Reuters) – France’s European affairs minister Clement Beaune urged Britain on Tuesday to uphold its side of post-Brexit deals and restore trust.

Beaune claimed that Britain wasn’t properly applying the EU-UK fisheries trade agreement or protocol governing Northern Ireland’s trading position.

You cannot promise that you’ll uphold what suits you, and to drop the ones that don’t. Before a meeting with EU counterparts in Brussels, he said trust, consistency, and respect of agreements are essential. But unfortunately, they don’t always exist.
