  • Recep Erdogan declares the Turkish Government is at war with crypto.
  • Erdogan reiterated that Turkey’s citizens and the country will continue to use their currency.
  • Before launching the digital Lira, President Erdogan is preparing to take financial control of Turkey.

Turkish President — Recep Tayyib Erdogan, has no plan of adopting crypto. Erdogan organized a Mersin, Turkey, question-and-answer session. One of the agendas was to discuss the new Digital Turkish Lira Collaboration Portal. Additonally, the Digital Lira Initiative is a Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey.

Furthermore, Erdogan revealed that his government is “at war” against digital assets.

However, there is a different war and separate battle against them. So we wouldn’t lend any support. Because we will move forward with our own currency that has its own identity
