U.S., several states file antitrust lawsuit against American Airlines, JetBlue By Reuters

(Reuters) – The United States and several U.S. states on Tuesday filed an antitrust lawsuit against American Airlines (NASDAQ:) Group Inc and JetBlue Airways (NASDAQ:) Corp, according to records in Boston federal court.

American’s chief executive Doug Parker stated that he expected the U.S. to contest the carrier’s partnership for antitrust purposes.

The court records also show that Arizona, California and the District of Columbia were among the plaintiffs.
