(Reuters) – Apple Inc (NASDAQ:) will pay one-time bonuses of as much as $1,000 to store employees next month, Bloomberg News reported on Wednesday, citing people familiar with the matter.

Employees who joined the company before March 31 will be eligible for $1,000. The report stated that those who join later will receive $500 and 31 employees would get $1,000.

According to the report, new employees who join for the holiday shopping season receive $200. Bonuses will also go out to AppleCare sales and support staff.

Apple didn’t immediately reply to Reuters’ request for comment.

In June, the company’s retail chief stated to Reuters that Apple is expanding its retail operations. He believes that a mix of strategies created during COVID-19 and before will increase its store popularity. (https://reut.rs/3EKndyI)
