Investing.com – Germany stocks were mixed after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher while losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Frankfurt, the added 1.03%, while the index climbed 0.63%, and the index lost 0.29%.

The best performers of the session on the were Daimler AG NA O.N. (DE:) climbed 3.97% to 71.825, or 2.74 points at the close. Meanwhile, Deutsche Bank AG NA O.N. Deutsche Bank AG NA O.N. (DE:), gained 3.81%, or 0.385 point to finish at 10.480. Bayerische Motoren Werke AG was up 3.46%, or 2.730 to 81.555 late trade.

The worst performers of the session were HelloFresh SE (DE:), which fell 2.58% or 2.32 points to trade at 87.52 at the close. Zalando SE (DE:) declined 2.34% or 2.06 points to end at 85.85 and Siemens Healthineers AG (DE:) was down 2.00% or 1.20 points to 58.84.

The top performers on the MDAX were Stroeer SE (DE:) which rose 4.67% to 71.650, Hugo Boss AG NA O.N. (DE:) which was up 4.27% to settle at 52.000 and K&S AG (DE:) which gained 4.04% to close at 12.818.

Deutsche Lufthansa AG was the worst performer (DE) with a drop of 25.41% to 6.24 in late trade. Bechtle AG lost 7.03% to close at 62.440. Cancom SE O.N. also suffered a loss of 7.03%. (DE:), was at its lowest point of 2.01%, 51.580 by the close.

The top performers on the TecDAX were Suse SA (DE:) which rose 3.06% to 37.00, Vantage Towers AG (DE:) which was up 2.67% to settle at 29.96 and Nordex SE O.N. (DE:), which gained 2.44% and closed at 15.110.

Bechtle AG, (DE:), which fell 7.03% to close at 62.440 in the late trade, and Cancom SE O.N. were among the worst performers. (DE:), which fell 2.01% to close at 51.580, and Siemens Healthineers AG(DE:), which dropped 2.00% to close at 58.84.

The Frankfurt Stock Exchange saw rising stocks surpass declining ones by 483 to 214, while 73 ended the same.

Deutsche Lufthansa AG shares (DE) plunged to new lows, falling by 25.41% (2.129 to 6.248). Suse SA’s shares (DE:), rose to record highs with a 3.06% increase or 1.10 to 39.00.

The, which tracks the implied volatility for DAX options was lower by 10.11% at 23.56.

The December delivery of Gold Futures was up 0.6%, or 1.05 to $1779.25 per troy ounce. In commodities trading, crude oil rose 1.37 percent or $177.25 a barrel to $71.86 per barrel. The November Brent oil contract increased 1.91 or 1.90% to $75.77 per barrel.

EUR/USD rose 0.12% to 1.1738 while EUR/GBP rose 0.13 to 0.8591.

US Dollar Index Futures were down 0.8% at 93.127.
