(Reuters) – Tropical Depression Eighteen formed in the eastern Atlantic on Wednesday and is expected to strengthen over the next several days, the U.S. National Hurricane Center (NHC) said in its latest advisory.
According to the NHC, the maximum sustained winds of the depression are close to 35 miles per hour (55 kilometers/h). The NHC also stated that it could turn into a tropical storm on Thursday and possibly become hurricane-level by Friday.
