Costco Earnings, Revenue Beat in Q4 By Investing.com

Investing.com – Costco (NASDAQ:) reported on Thursday fourth quarter that beat analysts’ forecasts and revenue that topped expectations.

Costco reported earnings per share at $3.9 for $62.68B in revenue. Investing.com polled analyst to forecast EPS of 3.56 on $61.4B revenue.

Costco shares rose 20% over the first of the year. However, they are down 3.70% from their 52 week peak of $469.77 on September 9. They outperform the Nasdaq by 16.79%, since its inception.

Following the release, Costco shares fell 0.76% after hours trade.

Costco follows other major Services sector earnings this month

Costco’s report follows an earnings beat by Lululemon Athletica on September 8, who reported EPS of $1.65 on revenue of $1.45B, compared to forecasts EPS of $1.19 on revenue of $1.33B.

Dollar General beat all expectations with a second quarter earnings per share of $2.69 on $8.65B in revenue, beating forecasts for $2.62 and $8.61B respectively.
