Investing.com – Germany stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Frankfurt, the gained 0.88%, while the index climbed 0.79%, and the index gained 1.43%.

The best performers of the session on the were Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (DE:), rose 3.06% or 17.600 point to trade at 593.00 at the closing. Infineon Technologies AG NA O.N. was also trading. (DE:) added 2.96% or 1.083 points to end at 37.703 and Continental AG O.N. Late trade saw a 2.66% increase or 2.45 point to 94.65.

Fresenius Medical Care KGAA ST, which lost 1.62% and 1.010 points at trade close to 61.300 was among the worst-performing sessions. Fresenius SE & Co KGAA O.N. (DE:) declined 0.82% or 0.340 points to end at 41.315 and Henkel & Co KGaA AG Pref (DE:) was down 0.15% or 0.12 points to 79.65.

The top performers on the MDAX were Aixtron SE (DE:) which rose 3.43% to 23.395, Uniper SE (DE:) which was up 3.05% to settle at 36.520 and Commerzbank AG O.N. (DE:), which gained 2.33 percent to close at 5.410.

The worst performers were Vantage Towers AG (DE:) which was down 1.77% to 29.43 in late trade, Wacker Chemie O.N. (DE:) which lost 1.54% to settle at 152.57 and Fraport AG (DE:) which was down 1.02% to 58.230 at the close.

The top performers on the TecDAX were Nordex SE O.N. (DE:) which rose 4.77% to 15.830, Eckert & Ziegler AG O.N. (DE:), which rose 3.81% to close at 136.300, Eckert & Ziegler AG O.N. (DE:), and Jenoptik AG(DE:), which closed at 32.360 with a gain of 3.59%.

The worst performers were S&T AG (DE:) which was down 2.02% to 23.26 in late trade, Vantage Towers AG (DE:) which lost 1.77% to settle at 29.43 and United Internet AG NA (DE:) which was down 0.92% to 34.530 at the close.

Rising stocks outnumbered falling ones by 516, 184 and 71 at the close.

Sartorius AG VZO O.N. shares climbed to all-time highs Shares of Sartorius AG ZO O.N. rose to an all-time high, rising 3.06% to 17600 to 593000. Uniper SE’s shares rose to new heights, with a 3.05% increase or 1.080 up to 36.520. Jenoptik AG shares (DE:), rose to 52 week highs, rising by 3.59% (1.120 to 32.360).

The implied volatility index of DAX options was 10.06% lower at 21.19.

The December delivery of Gold Futures was lower by 1.54%, or 27.45, to $1751.35 per troy ounce. Other commodities traded included Crude oil, which rose by 0.97 percent to $73.20/barrel in November, and November Brent oil, which rose by 1.13% or 0.86, to trade at $77.05/barrel.

EUR/USD rose 0.45%, to 1.1739. EUR/GBP declined 0.40%, to 0.8540.

US Dollar Index Futures fell 0.43% to 93.060.
