Italy’s Enel to launch newco Gridspertise for digital grid services

REUTERS/Flavio Lo Scalzo/File PhotoROME (Reuters) – Italy’s Enel (MI:) will set up a new company dedicated to digital grid services, which aims to have a revenue of 1.5 billion euros ($1.76 billion) by 2030, newspaper Il Sole 24 Ore reported on Wednesday.
Gridspertise will be created by Europe’s largest utility. It will also spin off all its operations, including smart grid services and digital metres.
According to the report, new investors could have a minor stake in the company’s shareholding as soon as next year.
