WASHINGTON (Reuters) – U.S. President Joe Biden said on Friday there would be repercussions for U.S. Border Patrol agents over their harsh treatment of Haitian migrants at the southern U.S. border, calling it an embarrassment to the nation.

Biden said that the Texas-Mexico border situation is his responsibility. This has been highlighted by viral images showing Border Patrol agents riding horses and using their reins to harass the migrants.

“Of course I accept responsibility. He said that he was president.
