Aldi UK to invest 1.3 billion stg over next two years By Reuters

© Reuters. LONDON (Reuters.com) – Aldi, the British and Irish division of German discount supermarket chain Aldi announced on Monday that they would invest 1.3 Billion pounds ($1.78Billion) over two years in 100 new stores.
Aldi, the UK’s fifth-largest supermarket company with an 8% share of the market, reported that 2020 sales rose 10.2%, to 13.5billion pounds, but that operating profit decreased 1.2%, to 287.7m pounds, due to the effects of the pandemic.
