Beyond Meat Gains on Plans to Take Meatless Chicken Tenders to Grocers By Investing.com

Investing.com – Beyond Meat stock (NASDAQ:) rose almost 2% on Monday as the company said its meatless chicken tenders will be available at grocery stores starting next month.

According to the company, Beyond Chicken Tenders are available in select Walmart stores (NYSE:), Jewel-Osco stores Safeway NorCal shops, Safeway NorCal grocery stores, Harris Teeter and Giant Foods stores. Additional availability will likely be made later in this year.

In July, the company revealed its latest version of plant-based chicken. Panda Express used it as part of its meat-free orange chicken in select markets, while more than 1,000 A&W stores in Canada also sold its Beyond Meat Nuggets.

Beyond Chicken Tenders are available for sale at $4.99 per package

Beyond Meat also announced that it will increase its retail distribution at Walmart of all Beyond Meat products. This is the third expansion in this year’s program.

Beyond Chicken Tenders’ protein is made from faba beans, which are a nutritious legume.
