U.S. says Chinese government blocking airplane purchases By Reuters

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – U.S. Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo said Tuesday the Chinese government is blocking its domestic airlines from buying “tens of billions of dollars” in airplanes.

Raimondo made the remarks following a Washington speech. She said that China has not fulfilled its commitments in 2020 to purchase U.S. goods as part a trade deal. “I do not know if Boeing is (NYSE:). Chinese Airlines want to purchase tens or billions of dollar worth of planes, but the Chinese government blocks them.
