The semiconductor industry’s supply crunch is gradually improving as companies invest in new supply. However, the sector’s positive dynamics are a tailwind for even lesser-known companies including Aehr Test (AEHR) and inTEST (INTT). Which stock is better to buy right now? Find out more. Aehr Test Systems is a North American manufacturer and distributor of test and burn in equipment. InTEST Corporation (INTT), on the other hand, provides process and test solutions to manufacturing in various markets, including automotive, defense/aerospace and energy.

Many industries and governments around the world have been concerned about the shortage of semiconductors. The International Data Corporation (IDC), however, has reported that front-end manufacturing, which is supported by significant federal and private investments, is now meeting demand. IDC projects that the global semiconductor market will grow at 5.3% CAGR, which is higher than the historical 3-4% average. Consequently, INTT as well as AEHR will see a rise in their semiconductor stock.

AEHR’s gains have been 576.1% in the last six months while INTT returned 25%. Also, AEHR’s 525.3% gains year-to-date compares with INTT’s 94% returns. In terms of the past year’s performance, AEHR is the winner with 1,006.3% gains versus INTT’s 177.9%.
