(Reuters) – Social audio chat app Clubhouse is launching the ability to record and replay conversations and also download 30-second clips to share on social media or other sites, it said on Thursday.
According to the company, an enhanced search function will be available on Clubhouse that allows users to find specific clubs, people, and audio rooms.
The new features will aim to help content creators on Clubhouse expand their audience at a time when larger tech rivals like Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:) and Twitter Inc (NYSE:) have also introduced competing “social audio” features.
Paul Davison is Clubhouse’s founder and chief executive. You can help to create great moments or share a quote out there, along with a link to where people can join the club.
Clubhouse announced that certain creators will have the opportunity to test the recording and replaying of conversations over the next several weeks. On Thursday, the sharing feature will go live.
