One child injured in Memphis school shooting, police searching for suspect By Reuters

(Reuters) – One child was injured in a shooting at a Memphis, Tennessee elementary school early Thursday, and no other injuries were reported as police have the school on lockdown and are searching for a male suspect, police said on Twitter (NYSE:).

According to police, the attack on Cummings Elementary School was reported at 9:15 am. A young male student was injured in the shooting and was taken to hospital. No information was available on his condition.

As police sought a suspect in the shooting, school was kept under lockdown.
