WASHINGTON (Reuters) – The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) said on Thursday it would extend the public comment period for the draft environmental review of the proposed SpaceX Starship/Super Heavy program in Boca Chica, Texas, to Nov. 1.

This extension is after the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) requested that the public period for comment in the draft environmental review of the proposed SpaceX Starship/Super Heavy program in Boca Chica, Texas was extended. SpaceX can’t launch its Starship/Super Heavy vessel until the FAA has completed the licensing process. This includes an environmental review.
