Exclusive-White House pressing U.S. airlines to quickly mandate vaccines By Reuters

WASHINGTON, (Reuters) – The White House wants major U.S. carriers to require vaccines by Dec. 8th. Four sources confirmed this Friday to Reuters.

Jeffrey Zients, White House COVID-19 respondent, spoke with Southwest Airlines (NYSE 🙂 chief executives on Thursday in order to confirm that they are working swiftly to implement vaccine requirements prior to a Dec.8 deadline for federal contractors.

Some airlines officials asked the White House for a delay in approving the regulations until after the holiday season.
