Investing.com – India stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

The index declined 0.6% at the NSE close.

Bajaj Finserv Ltd. (NS:) was the worst performer of the session, falling 3.42% to 608.95 points and trading at 17177.80 by the end. Maruti Suzuki India Ltd., NS:, declined by 2.40% (or 175.75) points to close at 7162.30 Asian Paints Ltd. (NS): The decline of 2.06%, or 66.80 point to 3177.85.

The top performers on the BSE Sensex 30 were Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (BO:) which rose 3.05% to 827.45, Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories Ltd (BO:) which was up 1.38% to settle at 4953.20 and UltraTech Cement Ltd (BO:) which gained 1.24% to close at 7487.35.

Bajaj Finserv Ltd. (BO) was the worst performer, falling 3.45% to 17175.00 late trade, Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.. (BO) lost 2.39% and settled at 7159.40. Bharti Airtel Ltd. (BO) was also down 2.22% at 672.90 by close.

Indian National Stock Exchange witnessed rising stocks surpassing declining stocks by 914 to 772. However, 77 closed unchanged. On the Bombay Stock Exchange however, 1300 rose while 1340 fell, while 164 closed unchanged.

Coal India Ltd. (NS:) shares rose 52 weeks to their highest levels; up 1.94%, or 3.60 to 182.70.

The implied volatility index of Nifty 50 options was lower by 6.48%, to 17.2100.

Dec delivery gold futures fell 0.17% to $1753.95 per troy an ounce. Other commodities traded included Crude oil, which fell 0.61 percent to reach $74.42/barrel in November. The December Brent oil contract, however, fell 0.45 percent to trade at $77.86/barrel.

USD/INR decreased 0.05% by 74.128. EUR/INR fell 0.3% to 85.8620.

US Dollar Index Futures were down 0.1% at 94.227.
