U.S. COVID-19 cases, hospitalizations down 15% from last week

WASHINGTON, (Reuters) – U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Director Rochelle Walensky said Friday that the weekly number of COVID-19 hospitalizations and cases in the United States was down 15% compared to the week before.

Walensky, White House press secretary, stated that the United States experienced an average of 106.400 COVID-19 deaths, 8.300 hospitalizations, and over 1,476 deaths during its latest seven-day period.
