(Reuters] – Friday’s death toll from coronavirus infective diseases in the United States surpassed 700,000. According to Reuters, officials are distributing more vaccines for seniors and high-risk workers.

According to Reuters, the average death rate in this country was more than 2,000 per day for the week. That is approximately 60% of the January peak.

According to Reuters, the United States is still leading in COVID-19 deaths and cases. It accounts for 14% and 19% of all fatalities and infections, respectively. A global pandemic that has claimed more than 5,000,000 lives is expected.

Highly transmissible Delta variant has caused a spike in COVID-19 case numbers that reached its peak around September and then fell to about 117.625 per day, according to a rolling seven-day average.

This is well over the 10,000 daily cases that Dr. Anthony Fauci, a top U.S. expert in infectious diseases, has stated must be addressed to stop the current health crisis.

While national hospitalization numbers have fallen in recent weeks, some states, particularly in the south of the country, are bucking that trend to record big rises https://graphics.reuters.com/HEALTH-CORONAVIRUS/USA-TRENDS/dgkvlgkrkpb/index.html, putting pressure on healthcare systems.

VACCINE BOOSTERS

On Monday, President Joe Biden was given a booster shot. This is in an effort to set the example for Americans about the importance of getting the additional shot when millions are unable to.

Although scientists disagree on the necessity of booster shots, so many Americans remain not vaccinated in the United States. Biden made the announcement in August to boost protection against the transmissible Delta variant.

According to data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 56% have been fully vaccinated. Approximately 65% of them received at least one dose.

New York hospitals fired or suspended healthcare workers on Monday because they refused to comply with state orders. Meanwhile, a federal judge ruled for an Ohio private hospital that mandated shots.

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reports that vaccination rates are falling in parts of some regions of the Midwest and South, as well as parts of West Coast and Northeast. This shows a division between rural and urban areas.
