(Reuters) – U.S. Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor rejected Friday’s request that New York City’s public schools teachers and workers be vaccinated against COVID-19.

Sotomayor dismissed a challenge made by four teachers and teaching aids to stop the city’s mandated vaccines. Meanwhile, litigation continues at lower levels. Or, public school workers will be put on unpaid leave through September 2022 if they are not vaccinated before 5 p.m. GMT (2100 GMT) October 1.
