WASHINGTON (Reuters), – U.S. Vice President Joe Biden expressed hope that Republicans in Congress won’t be reckless and decline to increase the debt limit, as a legislative deadline nears.

Biden stated at the White House that he was going to work to pass both the broad reconciliation bill and the bipartisan infrastructure bill. This would bring together progressives as well as moderates within his Democratic Party.
