Bank of America launches research coverage for digital assets By Reuters

(Reuters] – Bank of America Corp. (NYSE:) has published the first of its research articles on cryptocurrencies, and other digital assets. The Bank of America Corp joined other financial institutions to increase their participation in this area.

Bloomberg News reported the move earlier but a BofA spokesperson confirmed it later.

In its report, the bank said that “digital asset universe” was too big to ignore.

Alkesh Shah (an insider who was formerly a technology analyst) will be the head of the team.

Even with wild price swings this year, bitcoin has seen wide institutional interest, thanks to large Wall Street banks like Goldman Sachs Group Inc (NYSE:) having restarted https://www.reuters.com/article/us-crypto-currency-goldman-sachs-exclusi-idUSKCN2AT390 their crypto trading desk.
