Treasury tells Arizona it can’t use federal funds to undermine school mask requirements By Reuters

WASHINGTON, (Reuters) – Wally Adeyemo, Deputy Treasury Secretary to Arizona Governor Douglas Ducey said Tuesday that the state cannot use federal funds for programs that aim at undermining school face mask regulations.

Adeyemo expressed concern over two Arizona state programs under the American Rescue Plan. Adeyemo said that they “undermine evidence-based efforts stop COVID-19 spreading.”
