Gary Gensler is the U.S. head. According to the Securities and Exchange Commission, Gary Gensler is not authorized or intends to ban cryptocurrency.
Responding to questions at the Oct. 5 House Committee on Financial Services Hear, Gensler emphasized that prohibiting crypto does not fall within the SEC’s mandate, stating: “That would be up to Congress.”
