WASHINGTON (Reuters] – On Thursday, the state attorneys general of 19 US states and District of Columbia filed an administrative lawsuit against U.S.Postmaster General Louis DeJoy’s 10-year strategy to revamp U.S. postal delivery.
DeJoy’s complete plan, which is aimed to reduce $160 billion expected red ink waste, was requested by the states. On Oct. 1, new U.S. Postal Service delivery standards were implemented. These will affect some first-class mail deliveries. It is an important part of the 10-year overhaul.
