Australia’s Woolworths settles class action over underpaying staff By Reuters

(Reuters] – Australia’s most popular grocery chain Woolworths Group Ltd has announced that it has resolved a class action suit brought by a Canberra lawyer in 2019. The lawsuit was filed for the negligent payment of workers at supermarkets.

It announced that it would pay A$2,500 in ex-gratia to approximately 20,000 employees of its grocery stores, as well as retirement benefits.
