The Biden administration officially nominated Kazakh-born Saule Omarova as the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. Saule Omarova is known for being both anti-banks and anti-crypto. Indeed, the news has sparked a wide range of reactions from crypto communities both within and without the United States.

Ted Cruz of the United States reacted in a tweet.

Senator Cruz stated that Saule was not only a danger to our national economy, but she could also be threatening cryptos in the near future. “Not only is Saule Omarova, Biden’s pick to lead the OCC, a threat to our traditional economy, she also wants to regulate crypto into oblivion. Crypto faces future-defining government regulations, he said.”

But, the threat and pressure this time around is not new to the crypto network. The crypto community has already faced many challenges over the past years. The chances of the crypto-world continuing to be strong will not diminish.
