France stocks higher at close of trade; CAC 40 up 1.65% By Investing.com

Investing.com – France stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

The Paris closing bell saw the gain of 1.65% and an increase in the index by 1.55%.

Compagnie de Saint Gobain SA, which gained 4.23% (or 2.39 points) to close at 58.86, was the best performer of the session. ArcelorMittal SA (+4.04%) gained 0.98 point to finish at 25,23. Stellantis NNV (PA) was also up 3.8%, or 0.60 points, to 16:58 in the closing trade.

Eurofins Scientific SE, (PA:), fell 0.42 points or 0.48% to trade at 106.94 by the end of the session. Vivendi SA (PA) fell 0.04 points or 0.36% to 10.96 Carrefour SA (PA:), was 0.04 point lower at 15.94

These were the top performers on SBF 120 Faurecia (PA:), which rose 6.4% to 41.30 Valeo SA (PA 🙂 rose 5.89% to settle in 25.00, and Solutions 30SE (PA 🙂 gained 5.26%.

They were among the most disappointing. Ubisoft Entertainment (PA) was down 6.2% to 48.37 late trade. SCOR SE was also down at 23.86, and Air France KLM SA was at 23.86.

By 388 to 201 on the Paris Stock Exchange, rising stocks outnumbered those in decline by 98.

Ubisoft Entertainment shares (PA:), fell to 52 week lows, losing 6.22% (3.21 to 48.37).

The implied volatility index of CAC 40 options was at 0% to 18.96, a 6-month high.

The December delivery of Gold Futures was lower by 0.17%, or 2.95, to $1758.85 per troy ounce. In commodities trading, crude oil for November delivery rose 0.65 percent to $78.08 per barrel. The December Brent oil contract traded at $81.81 per barrel.

EUR/USD was up 0.3% at 1.1560 while EUR/GBP dropped 0.33% at 0.8480.

US Dollar Index Futures were down 0.4% at 94.142.
