Investing.com – India stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

These were the best performers of the session Tata Motors Ltd (NS:) rose 12.04%, or 40.45 point to trade at 376.50 by the close. Titan Company Ltd (NS) gained 10.60%, or 227.70 point to close at 2375.35 Mahindra & Mahindra Late trade saw Ltd. (NS) rise 5.29%, or 44.15 point to 878.25
Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd. (NS:) was the worst performer of the session, falling 4.58% or 7.70 point to close at 160.40. Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories Ltd (NS:) declined 1.32% or 65.50 points to end at 4891.10 and Coal India Ltd (NS.:) dropped 1.11% to 190.70, or 2.15 point.
The top performers on the BSE Sensex 30 were Titan Company Ltd (BO:) which rose 10.69% to 2376.20, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (BO:) which was up 5.32% to settle at 878.15 and Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. (BO:) which gained 4.04% to close at 7491.30.
The worst performers were Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories Ltd (BO:) which was down 1.31% to 4892.25 in late trade, Housing Development Finance Corporation Ltd (BO:) which lost 0.71% to settle at 2728.75 and Nestle India Ltd (BO:) which was down 0.64% to 19049.60 at the close.
In India, declining stocks were outnumbered by rising ones by 1214 to 492; 60 ended unchanged. On Bombay Stock Exchange 2096 increased and 1037 decreased, while 125 ended unchanged.
Tata Motors Ltd. shares (NS) rose 12.04% to their 3-year highs, rising from 40.45 up to 376.50. Titan Company Ltd. shares (NS) reached all-time highs with a 10.60% increase or 229.70 to 2375.35. Titan Company Ltd’s shares rose to new heights with a 10.69% increase or 229.40 up to 2376.20.
