JAKARTA, Reuters – The Indonesian parliament passed the government’s tax reform proposals on Thursday, said deputy speaker MuhaiminIskandar. These included raising the value-added tax rate for next year, and eliminating a corporate tax reduction.
It also introduces a 35% tax on income above 5 billion Rupees ($351,000) per annum, as well as a carbon tax and tax amnesty.
